surtout que c'est pas la lune de miel entre les deux.....

Mais si !   Pic, en bon émissaire de Dassault, a même écrit à Macron.  Donc tout va rouler.

Parikrama news :

You know when i hinted this few days back only...

Good some things are slowly coming out in open... More things will come out as well..

The MKI terms must be renegotiated... with certain additional clauses giving us more freedom...an example is using another engine in the plane ..for testing... eventual deployment as well.. something similar like WS series for chinese flankers...will stop at that for the time being..

Also about S500, its not doomed.. Rather the scanning radar is being upgraded to lot more for higher range..

An S400 for example can detect almost upto 600 km and start engaging upto 400 km.

The Prometheus system is suppose to take it much higher in altitude and range over the horizon part.. The HTK needs more tests to fine tune it and the 77N series is not the only ones they are working.. Our interest on 77N series is fine bcz it proves enough for the missiles upto 8K+ range part.. But Russia is more keen to make HTK for a anti MIRV capable missile.. that needs funds and research.. so its a next gen capability earmarked for more research..

let me delve a bit off topic
About what more Russia plans is basically an new plane for sub orbital capability.. Roscosmos was suppose to handle it jointly with another entity .. it suppose to fly within 100km-150km zone capable of deploying a strategic payloads and also energy weapons.. This concept was shared with New Delhi this year beginning and was earmarked for a 15 year timeline.. Of course it was hinted that we buy a stake in this project.. We kept the file in cold storage.. The whole project is in concept stage.. if India can successfully deploy RLV, a similar concept can come into play as well.. RLV itself needs lot more time for achieving that much success so the time frame of 15 years with economic limitation of Russia was impractical..

But as a concept , it was in line with something which i had personally discussed with a person of interest in MOD.. the only hitch is weaponizing Space assets as well deploying such capability is a marked departure from our present stance... Moreover in his words, we need to understand that India needs 3 more decades of economic boom and well funded Research to be successful in that.. i dont deny his words.. the building blocks are more important.. but its one of the things which we should be looking at for future.. including DEW weapons as SAM/ABM shield... The energy generators are better used in defensive stance with the ground facility housing and supply being better+stable...

Consider all this as just random thoughts... not to be taken seriously

Sorry for Off topic .. .

Pls find a solution to let us see the old topics of Indiandefence. This was an unbelievable source for military geeks.

Well Pari wants to move to a serious Think Tank stuff...

Almost all staff, mods and users will migrate.. the reason being there are past issues with IDF.. and its ownership..

It may take time but Pari and team wishes to do things in lot more professional way and use the platform for better things.. Will ask him to drop by ..

Parikrama story (Suite!)

Révélation

Hearing a strong chatter that originally IAC1 lift design after numerous alterations over last 7 years has finally settled with planned 10x14m

But the housing of the entire Lift segment still has enough space to expand the dimensions by at least 1m in each of the 4 sides reaching a possible 12x16m dimension.

Some more talks are on complete landing system change and smaller bays/Lift for Weapon/Munition carriage

A senior team of officials comprising of MOD, IN, CSL senior Management and experts from Naval Group have visited the site and inspected the same some time back.

The planned changes were offered to an outside consultant first which was dilly dallying it in fear of lowing the air wing component. But Now CSL themselves are in a position to do the changes and get this whole set up done and running.

This also puts out that probably the date of commissioning IAC1 may get delayed a bit to accommodate such changes..

Interestingly this dimension rules out one aircraft all together from MRCBF,,, Final Decision pending with MOD for approving such changes,,,
