Son armement garantit la destruction de toute cible de surface et le protège contre toutes les attaques en mer. Le croiseur lance-missiles Moskva est le navire amiral de la Flotte russe de la mer Noire. Il est destiné à détruire les navires de surface, en premier lieu les porte-avions, à soutenir la DCA et à appuyer les troupes débarquées.
