Dassault COR2 multi-camera pod (400 kg/ 882 lb), with sensors operating the visible and infra-red spectra. Contains :

• a fan of 4 OMERA 35 cameras (114x114 mm format) with focal lengths between 150 and 600 mm

• OMERA 40 panoramic camera (240 x 47 mm)

• and SAT Super Cyclope infra-red linescan.

Speed and altitude limitations = 600 kt (1100 km/h;690 mph) and 11600 m (38,000 ft).

Providing precision targeting and enhanced situational awareness to change the way armed forces operate in theater

The Sniper pod is the most widely deployed targeting system for fixed-wing aircraft in use by the U.S. Air Force, and is the targeting system of choice for 12 international air forces. In addition to fulfilling precision strike mission requirements, the Sniper pod is changing the way armed forces operate in theater with new capabilities to meet the challenges of non-traditional intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (NTISR).

The Sniper pod provides long-range target detection/identification and continuous surveillance for all missions, including close air support of ground forces. Superior imagery, a video datalink and J-series weapons-quality coordinates enhance the warfighter’s ability to rapidly detect and analyze ground targets while keeping aircrews out of threat ranges.

The Sniper pod provides the warfighter with:

• Advanced image processing algorithms, combined with rock steady stabilization techniques, that provide cutting edge performance

• High-resolution, mid-wave FLIR and TV sensors, operated in conjunction with a dual-mode laser, that permit eye-safe operation and precise geo-location in urban environments

• Laser spot tracker to acquire other laser spots from air and ground assets; an infrared marker visible to soldiers using night vision goggles and a video down link to provide ground forces with enhanced situational awareness

• Real-time targeting for J-series weapons with a state-of-the-art tracker that enables employment of advanced laser-guided weapons against moving targets

• Meta-data incorporated in every frame of video to further ensure accuracy throughout intelligence and command and control functions

• Common software and hardware interface design provides greater interoperability across aircraft fleets

A precision targeting system in a single, lightweight pod, the Sniper pod is designed for current and future aircraft. It is combat proven on U.S. Air Force and international F-15E, F-16 (all blocks), B-1, A-10C, Harrier GR7/9 and CF-18 aircraft. Lockheed Martin is also in the final stages of integrating the Sniper pod on the B-52. As the best overall value and majority share winner of the U.S. Air Force’s Advanced Targeting Pod-Sensor Enhancement (ATP-SE) competition in 2010, Sniper pods continue to deliver even greater capability to the warfighter.

Royal Moroccan Air Force Selects Goodrich DB-110 Airborne Reconnaissance System

...Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) has received a contract from the U.S. Air Force to provide its advanced DB-110 airborne reconnaissance system for the Royal Moroccan Air Force's (RMAF) new Block 52+ F-16 fighters. The Foreign Military Sale (FMS) contract calls for Goodrich to provide four F-16 reconnaissance pods, data links, multiple ground exploitation systems and related support services....

Raytheon Co., Goleta, Calif., has been awarded a not-to-exceed $70,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for eight Advanced Countermeasures Electronic Systems (ACES) full systems for in country spares, three full systems to support software sustainment activities, 13 ACES Line Replaceable Units (LRU) to create a repair and return spares pool, and 21 ACES LRUs to support operation of ACES reprogramming benches at Warner Robins and Eglin Air Force

Bases, plus a lifetime supply of diminishing manufacturing source parts to support future repair and return and production.  Work will be performed at Goleta, Calif., and is expected to be completed March 2017.  This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition.  This contract is 100 percent foreign military sales for the governments of Morocco, Egypt and Iraq.  Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/WWMK, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity  (FA8615-14-C-6022).

Une chose est sûre, tout le matériel est super bien entretenu.

Oui tu as raison . Les FRA sont le fer de lance de l'armée marocaine , ils ont des compétences énormes et des infrastructures de bonnes qualité , et notamment dans le maintien et l'entretien des avions . Vraiment ils laissent rien au hasard, ils ont une certaine culture du sérieux .

 

Cette vidéo montre tout l'entretien des avions de chasse , hélicoptères , avions de transport ... Ils demontent un Mirage F1 en entier , l'inspecte point par point et le remonte .

Pour le ravitaillement des F-16 pas d'exercice en vue , pour l'instant , on va se contenter des CFT que ont a recu recemment , en attendant la suite . On peut dire que elle est abandonée .

Article ALGERIEN de "El Watan" sur l'histoire du financement des forces armées marocaines.

 

La première partie semble sérieuse et documentée.

Après la seconde partie semble critique notamment concernant la maintenance des F16 qui ferait défaut faute de crédit et l'achat des frégates hollandaises sigma qui seraient suspendues pour les mêmes raisons.

 

Après je ne sais pas si il faut prendre aux sérieux ces informations vus que la presse deux pays se tapent souvent dessus.
