Une annonce de Kommer Damen au 22 Août indique que la société a signé un contrat avec la marine vietnamienne pour fournir 2 corvettes Sigma 9814.

Le premier des six sous-marins à propulsion diesel-électrique du projet 636 en construction aux chantiers navals de l'Amirauté à Saint-Pétersbourg a été transmis jeudi à la partie vietnamienne.
A l'heure actuelle les parties signent l'acte de transfert technique du premier sous-marin aux forces navales de la République socialiste du Vietnam. L'acte définitif sera signé fin janvier 2014 lorsque le sous-marins sera livré à Cam Ranh.

Indian Navy to Train Vietnamese Naval Personnel

The cooperation between Vietnam and India is expanding steadily as the two countries broaden their defense ties.

 

Namely, the Vietnamese Navy asked its Indian counterpart to train its naval personnel on Russian-built kilo-class submarines, as reported by The Asian Age.

Russia handed over the first of six Russian-built Kilo class submarines, named Ha Noi, to Vietnam on November 7.  The sub was ordered under a project signed in 2009 in Saint Petersburg.

The Indian Navy also wants to sell the BrahMos supersonic missile to Vietnam.

The missile can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or land. It is a joint venture between the Republic of India’s Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Russian Federation’s NPO Mashinostroeyenia that have together formed BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited.

What is more, the Indian Navy had earlier been given the privilege to drop anchor at the Vietnamese Nha Trang port during a goodwill visit, becoming one of the few to be able to do that.

The cooperation could also be extended to shipbuilding industry, claim the local media.

First Type 636 diesel submarine (SSK) ordered by Vietnam arrived at Cam Ranh base

The first of six diesel-electric submarines (SSK) of Project 636 (Kilo/Varshavyanka class), built at Admiralty Shipyards (United Shipbuilding Corporation), was delivered at Cam Ranh Bay naval base, Vietnam. The submarine named "Hanoi" was transported with heavy lift vessel Rolldock Sea.

Entre la signature du contrat et la livraison du 1er sous marins, finalement, cela a était plus rapide que pour d'autres affaires de ce type (Brésil, Inde). Ces Kilos sont "tropicalisé" comme les Indiens ?

On January 3, Hanoi Kilo 636 submarine will be launched to sea and  anchor in national waters, marking its first official operation.

The handover ceremony is due to take place on January 10 following the completion of technical tests by five Russian submarine experts and Vietnamese agency representatives.After a six-week voyage, the mother vessel Rolldock Sea safely brought the Hanoi Kilo-636 submarine to Cam Ranh port.

The Kilo-636 submarine was built in Admiralty Verfi Shipyards in St. Petersburg. With a displacement of 3,000-3,950 tonnes, the submarine can operate at a maximum depth of 300 metres and at a range of 6,000-7,500 nautical miles for 45 days and nights with 52 crewmembers. It has the fastest engine in the world and is the best option for reconnaissance and patrols.

Design of future Damen SIGMA 9814 Corvettes for Vietnamese Navy revealed

During Vietship 2014 Nava Exhibition in Vietnam, Dutch shipyard Damen unveiled for the first time the design of the Sigma 9814 Corvette ordered by Vietnam. It was announced in October 2011 that Damen shipyard in Vlissingen, Netherlands will build four Sigma corvettes for the Vietnamese Navy. The first two ships will be built in Vlissingen (Netherlands), and the last two (options) will be built in Vietnam, under Dutch supervision.
