Iran may have ordered Yakhont missiles According to unconfirmed reports, recent Russian/Iranian talks on arms transfers included an agreement for the sale of the Chelomey Design Bureau's 3K55 Yakhont (SS-N-26) supersonic surface-skimming anti-ship missiles to Iran, writes David C Isby. Yakhont has strong Russian competition in export sales, most notably from missiles from the Novator Design Bureau. The surface-launched version of Yakhont is canister-mounted. It is 8.9m long, weighs 3,000kg and has a range of 300km. Its ramjet sustainer is reported to provide speeds of Mach 2.0-3.5. As a high-speed ballistic missile and pre-mission fuelling capability, the Shahab-3 has an extremely short launch/impact time ratio. This means that the INS/gyroscope guidance would also remain relatively accurate until impact (important, given the fact that the gyrosopes tend to become inaccurate the longer the flight lasts). With that guidance system, the Shahab-3B could archive an accuracy of around 30-50m CEP or even less. The Iranians have already proved of developing even more precise systems, then their Fateh-110 missiles have an electro-optical terminal guidance system: Shahab-3B is not known of having anything similar, but should be fully dependent on INS and – likely – GPS. ------------------------------------------ This new improved accuracy was apparently the reason why the warhead weight has been significantly decreased - to suggested 500kg. This, namely, is sufficient for pin-point target attack capability. Jamais la France ou l'Allemagne n'iront avec israel dans une guerre. Et jamais israel n'osera attaquer l'iran toute seule parce qu'il n'auront pas les capacités contrairement à toi qui considere cette armée comme invicible. On sait aussi que la défense antiaerienne de l''iran est assez puissante surtout avec l'equivalent russe du arrow, israel y réflichera plusieurs fois avant d'y aller. The GBU-67/9A Qadr is an unpowered Electro-Optically guided Glide-Bomb (EO GB), built around a 2,000 lb Mk 84 class bomb body. The AGM-379/20 Zoobin is a rocket-powered weapon that mates the same EO guidance package as the Qadr with a 750 lb warhead, based on an M117 bomb body. Both the Qadr and the Zoobin have been designed around standard US-pattern general-purpose bomb shapes, from existing IRIAF stocks. Collectionneur l'epoque des scud est révolue , l'iran dispose d'un missile balistique plus développé ( shahab 3) dont la portée 2000 km est tout le territoire israelien et qui est assez precis d'aprés les fiches techniques que j'ai pu voir. L'iran est aussi en train de développer des missiles assez perfectionnés guidés par GPS. Quant aux anti-missiles Arrow c'est de la poudre au yeux , on nous avait dis la meme chose à l'epoque sur l'efficacité des patriot et on a vu leur "efficacité" quand les vieux missiles scud sont arrivés , et quand des centaines de missiles sont lancés en meme temps c'est inefficace. L'iran a une industrie militaire qui monte, avec un budget en recherche et developement qui dépasse celui de tous les pays de la région ( israel compris) ; j'essayerai de vous ramener les chiffres que j'avais vu. Et qui ne tardera pas à acquerir la bombe nucléaire ( si cen'est déja fais). En cas de frappes aériennes c'est clair qu' israel va se manger un deluge de feu , j'avais lu les paroles du ministre de la defense de l'iran qui disait que si israel lancait un seul missile la riposte serait le rasage de la centrale nucleaire de dimona.

Je n'ai pas enterré l'armée us , je dis juste que l'iran n'est pas un pays desarmé comme l'irak ou l'afganistan , et si attaque il y a les pertes se compteront par milliers du coté de l'agresseur. Je ne suis pas sur que les USA sont prets à faire ces sacrifices.

Je ne pense pas qu on puisse s attaquer a l Iran avec la meme "facilité" operée en Irak ou en Afghanistan. D abord la politique iranienne est a l image du pays, une des plus vieilles du moyen orient aguerrie, experimentée vu l isolement de l Iran depuis des dizaines d annés. Une diplomatie qui inscrit ses objectifs dans le temps. Elle a cultivé l' art de deminer son chemin. Le facteur psychologique est un element très important lors des conflits car c' est la capacité d un gouvernement a reunir autour de lui la population pour une compagne de guerre et c est prouvé en Iran ( guerre Iran/ Irak) que la population iranienne malgré ses differentes composantes se soude de plus en plus autour de quelques valeurs communes. L Iran a un territoire et une population bien plus importante que celle de l Irak ou tout autre pays en conflit avec les interets americains. Et enfin une force de frappe militaire qui non seulement tient en respect Israel mais qui poserait un bien serieux probleme memes aux americains qui cette fois auront encore moins l appui des europeens. Sans compter que l Iran a un moyen de pression en dehors de ses frontieres dans la composante shiite des pays sensibles Liban, Irak, Pakistan... Bref ca serait suicidaire .........
