Perso je parcours parfois le forum de http://www.whatifmodelers.com/, dédié au "what-if", c'est à dire des avions imaginaires, avec généralement un scénario de fond.

Voir en particulier les réalisations du gars utilisant le pseudo John Howling Mouse : c'est un fou ! Il ne peut rien faire de simple, il faut toujours que son truc soit un mix d'éléments de plusieurs maquettes différentes, qu'il charcute dans tous les sens, qu'il ajoute plein de bidouillages en scratch, avec à chaque fois un résultat de malade.

Tiens ça me fait penser que sur le jeux vidéo Spore on peut aussi créer masse de trucs improbables et certains font vraiment des chose incroyables super bien faites, c'est un bonne sandbox extrêmement facile à utiliser pour créer des what-if.

EB-9 Night Eagle

The EB-9 will be filling a new strike role to replace the EB-1C Vampire. The aircraft is powered by 4 supercruising turbofans, and can cruise at Mach 1.8-2.2 depending on altitude. There is capability for Hafnium power, but for low level strike it likely won't be used. The bomber will carry 90,000 pounds of armarment, and has the capability for virtually any missile or bomb in the arsenal, along with the Bugzapper ALW.

The aircraft incorporates a low RCS, high lift design, along with Pallas Athena and AVSR. The crew can be as low as two, but likely 3-4 will be used depending on the mission. The bomber is actually quite manuverable and stable, and has performance like a strike fighter.

EB-1C Vampire

Based on the philosophy of the EB-52 Megafortress, the EB-1C is a quick response air battle command aircraft, that sports advanced sensors and computer systems. The EB-1C can fly with only a crew of 2, through the use of a "vitrual crew" that stays at the airfield and controls and communicates via datalink. These men are responsible for managing any C3 and UCAV tasks. The primary task of the EB-1C is to coordinate air warfare, and provide a springboard for virtual crew operating the U/MF-5 StealthHawk Attack UCAV or U/MF-6 AirHawk Fighter UCAV. The "Virtual Crew" remain at base, or at another C3 post, and communicate and control any UCAVs the EB-1C may be carrying. The EB-1C, through the use of advanced techniques and systems, can actually deploy and retrieve UCAVs through it's 3 bomb bays with the aid of computer piloting. These UCAVs can be refueled and rearmed in the bays, and then sent off for another mission. Another unique aspect of the EB-1C is the "Smart Skin", thousands of microhydraulics under the skin on the fuselage that can adjust the fuselage slightly to create more lift, along with STOL engines, which allows the EB-1C to take off with it's wings swept back.
