The DGA selected the new tri-jet capable of flying more than 11,000 kilometres, to be equipped with radar and sensors allowing simultaneous interception of radio and radar transmissions. By 2027, the Falcon 8X "Archange” will replace the old Gabriel, reinforcing intelligence and providing operational superiority. On 27 September 2019, the airborne electronic squadron (EEA) 1/54 "Dunkerque" based at Evreux celebrated thirty years of service of the C-160G Gabriel. Trappier also mentioned the future acquisition of seven Falcon 2000LXSs, baptised "Albatros". They will replace the current fleet of Falcon 50s and Guardian. The order, scheduled for 2020, will initially consist of seven Falcon 2000LXSs. The delivery will take place by 2025 and the future aircraft will have a design very close to the five 2000MSAs ordered by Japan. The Japanese Coast Guard took delivery recently of a second Falcon 2000 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft and placed an order for a sixth unit."

Via Scramble Magazine Super Tucanos for Philippines The Pilipinas Hukbong Himpapawid (PHH, Philippine Air Force) will receive six A-29B Super Tucanos by February 2020, as the Philippine Department of National Defense stated. The close air support aircraft are intended to supplement the remaining OV-10A/C Broncos that are being used by the 15 Strike Wing, 16 Attack Squadron at Danielo Atienza-Cavite air base and the 25 Composite Attack Squadron (of the same wing) at Edwin Andrews-Zamboanga air base. The A-29 is designed for light attack, counter-insurgency, close air support, aerial reconnaissance missions in low threat environments, as well as providing pilot training and will eventually replace the OV-10s. The contract for the six Super Tucanos was issued on 30 November 2017 and is worth USD 98,5 million (PHP4.968 billion). It was intended to deliver the six in 2019, but this was a little postponed. The PHH is the fifteenth country operating the A-29. During 2020, the Philippines wil also receive sixteen Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawks out of a contract signed in April 2019. These deliveries will likely start from Q3/2020 and will be completed in 2021. The S-70s will replace the aeging fleet of UH-1Hs of the PHH.

Les Coréens vont commander 20 F-35 supplémentaires... Via Scramble.nl South Korea to buy twenty more F-35s On 10 October 2019, the South Korean government announced that they will begin the second phase of their plan to acquire additional Lightning IIs. Under the code-name F-X III, the Republic of Korean Air Force (RoKAF) will get twenty extra F-35s for USD 3.3 billion. The aircraft are expected to be delivered from 2021-2025. The RoKAF has ordered forty F-35As in a 2014 deal, worth about USD 6.4 billion. First deliveries started in early 2019 and so far eight have arrived in the country. Sources within the South Korean government say that the new order could exist out of F-35Bs, possibly for future use from South Korea’s new 30,000 tons large-deck landing ship that is planned for the 2030s, but the state-funded (and powerful) Korea Institute for Defense Analyses (KIDA) reported in a study that an additional acquisition of F-35s should be the Alpha in stead of the Bravo version. Looking at the number of aircraft and the reported price of USD 3.3 billion, it is assessed that KIDA is right, as the F-35B is much more expensive than the F-35A.

Les Pakistanais ont une grande expertise dans l'entretient et l'upgrade de Mirage III/5 et ils ont des difficultés à obtenir quelque chose de mieux que des JF-17, donc augmenter leur flotte de Mirage ne me parait pas complétement idiot. Un Mirage III/5 avec un système d'armes modernisé doit être encore tout à fait valable, en tout cas pas pire qu'un JF-17 ou un Kfir par exemple...
