Heee hee you took my bait dont you :oops: well some indian posters like Sancho do beleive that Typhoon would be able to induct Captor E with GaN module with EA capabilty by 2020 due to delay in signing MMRCA deal its better for india now to take Typhoon tranche 3A/B variant with better radar capabilty with functional IRST which makes it better on A/A capabilty with better active /passive detection capabilty & plus with good air to ground capabilty in close in air support for troops & SEAD missions both with better PGMS like spear & storm shadow & he beleive france should have partner india in developemnt of F3R which is for french requirement basically but rather joint development of MLU/F4 variant would have been better & realistic partnership for india & france both but unfortunatley france wont give GaN tech at the moment to us may be for MLU neither india IAF has requirement for EA/ESM version of rbe 2 aesa radar at the moment but good news might be Isreali PGMs would give us a tremondous boost in rafale F3I official designation of india rafale after it's french forum nothing wrong to disclose such things CHEERS

Bonjour well nothing new about pollock it is his usual stuff when he writes his articles in AIN online .com seen before also when he posted the over optimistic article about GaN modules for Captor E aesa radar in future which even recent typhoon consortium marketing brochures even didnt mention about GaN in it's future road map for Captor -E aesa radar what you have posted is indeed the fact which i have also stated before that FCAS would be based on UCAV not a new manned fighter but i like to tell you it's 5th gen fighter basically not 6th gen as US have recently been developing their 6th gen fighter secretly to replace raptor in future 7th GEN fighter is a way distant thing CHEERS

oly has not answered anything related to that link but he had only posted the source thats it!! but the fact is FCAS might not be manned at all why?? 1)Britain already has F35 & it is big partner in it's program so why waste money on 2 manned 5th gen fighter from their side 2) French also are not interested on manned 5th gen fighter they want an unmanned 5th gen combat aircraft though it would be integrated with Rafale & would be controlled by rafale pilot through it cockpit plus marketing a manned 5th gen fighter to other countries wont be going to be easy for france as she knows it has very hard time selling it's rafale & add to that a manned 5th gen fighter would be very costly compare to rafale & britain would not want to annoy US as this plane would be indirectly competeing with F35 in export market if this plane turns out to be manned so as usual my view is POLLOCK is very optimistic & has sensationalized his article with no proper justification at all CHEERS
