Russia’s Project 16450 Oceanographic Research Vessel Transferred to New Shipyard for Completion

According to ship spotter pictures, the "Academician Ageev", first ship of Project 16450 class, was transferred under tow to a new shipyard for completion. The vessel's official designation is "oceanographic research vessel (special purpose)". Academician Ageev is being built for the Main Directorate for Deep-Water Research (GUGI) of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. GUGI is responsible for fielding specialized submarines, oceanographic research ships, undersea drones and autonomous vehicles, sensor systems, and other undersea systems.

Russian Navy Icebreaker Ivan Papanin Floated in St. Petersburg

The Admiralty Shipyard in St. Petersburg floated the Ivan Papanin lead ice-class patrol ship of project 23550.

In terms of weapon systems and equipment, Project 23550 vessels are fitted with a 76-mm AK-176MA main gun; portable air defense systems; helipad and helicopter hangar able to accommodate a Ka-27 class helicopter and unmanned aerial vehicles; two Raptor high-speed assault boats of the Raptor type and one Project 23321 hovercraft. Last but certainly not least, the vessel can be fitted with a containerized version of the Kalibr-NK missile system.

Russia Laid Keel of Project 636.3 Submarines Ufa & Magadan for the Pacific fleet

The Admiralty Shipyard laid two diesel-electric submarines of project 636.3 for the Pacific fleet. They are the Ufa and the Magadan. Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Nikolai Yevmenov and Admiralty Shipyard CEO Alexander Buzakov participated in the ceremony, the shipyard said.

Russian Navy to Build Armored Shelters for its Submarines

Russian submarines will get armored shelters equipped with water, electricity, and steam supplies. They are designed for Borey-class SSBN of project 955 and Yasen-class SSGN of project 885, as well as Lada-class diesel-electric submarines of projects 636 and 677. Each shelter will defend the submarine from bombs and missiles and even a nuclear strike, the Izvestia daily writes.

Russia’s Pacific Fleet Udaloy-class Destroyer & Oscar II-class SSN set for Tsirkon Missile Upgrade

The Project 1155 large antisubmarine warfare (ASW) ship Marshal Shaposhnikov (NATO reporting name: Udaloy-class) and the Project 949A Antey nuclear-powered submarine Irkutsk (Oscar-II-class) being upgraded for Russia’s Pacific Fleet will be able to launch advanced Tsirkon hypersonic missiles, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko said.

yep, via Red Samovar, le responsable du chantier naval USC n'est pas optimiste sur la survie du navire (je ne parle même pas de l'aspect économique/réparation)

Oui, c'est vrai que quand il navigue, c'est encore pire ! Mais bon, dans l'incendie d'hier, il y a tout de même eu une personne décédée, une autre portée disparue et 12 blessés. Une évaluation complète des dégâts reste à faire, tout comme la décision concernant l'avenir du navire...

J'ai vu et ne m'en réjouis pas. Le décès n'était pas annoncé au moment où j'ai fait cette remarque, et le Ministère russe se voulait rassurant sur l'état des blessés.
